The 10 Key MDS Components: Part 1 (Essentials)

The further you get into data engineering, the more you start to realize just how many different tools and components there are to navigate.

While this is exciting, it also unfortunately leads to a lot of complexity too early in many architectures.

Not to mention overwhelm for the many others trying to learn.

So what I want to do over the next 2 videos is break all of this down into something a little bit more digestible.

More specifically, into 10 Key Modern Data Components.

This will broken up into 2 groups:

• Part 1: Essentials (this video)
• Part 2: Advanced (next week)

This is based on personal experience and what I have found to be typically most effective for a vast majority of teams and people learning.

In this video, we'll start with the first 5 components that I call the "Essentials".

Then, in the next one we'll cover the remaining "Advanced" components.
