The Gift & Curse of Small Data Teams

As data engineers, working on a small or 1-person team can feel like both a gift and a curse.

On one hand, there's less red tape, so you can move a lot faster.

But on the other, there's more opportunity to cut corners.

Or to be just a little bit more lazy with your work. (no judgement)

But if you're not careful, this way of building can lead to compounding problems long term.

And your future self will be the one having to deal with it.
